Keep them safe: ‘Say NO to violence against children’ Campaign

We extend a heartfelt request to support us on our special project to distribute care packs for kids called ‘Say NO to violence against children’ – a situation that is currently at its peak in Sri Lanka. Sadly, we have no means or authority to stop what happens behind closed doors, but we can help the children by giving them a ray of hope and ease their little minds especially when they must stay under lockdown. With the assistance of many friends and partners of Child Action Lanka we’ve managed to provide for nearly 3000 of them to date and look forward to being able to provide for more kids out there who might be in need of our help. The care packs consisted of a study pack, toys, snacks, stationery and sanitation - little things that helped to put a smile on their faces. This programme gave our team an opportunity to connect with the children, to make sure their voices and concerns were heard, and be assured of CAL looking out  for them.

Our teams around Sri Lanka worked together with government workers (in compliance with current regulations) to distribute these  care packs to ensure that the children were safe. While it may not change the situation they face, it will certainly help to change how they feel.

We hope to keep distributing these packs to as many children as possible,  your donations are much appreciated. If you need more information please do contact us at: childaction@sltnet.lk or +94705432111
