Gampola Special Needs Centre

The Gampola Special Needs Centre (SNC), launched in February 2023, is Child Action Lanka’s first endeavour to transform lives of children and young adults with special needs.

The Gampola SNC was established with the primary purpose of providing comprehensive support and resources for the physical, emotional and cognitive development of children and young adults with special needs, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential. Through a variety of programs and activities, the centre aims to enhance skills and abilities, while also promoting the overall well-being of children in their care.

Additionally, the centre actively collaborates with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to child development. The centre aims to equip differently-abled children with basic literacy skills, life skills, therapy, parental counselling and vocational training.
