Mobile school Impact Update

In 2022 the mobile school was launched in Nuwara-Eliya to reach the estate sector communities. Through the mobile school we have been able to reach over 3038 children under the age of 16 in 11 communities in Nuwara-Eliya. Research shows that approximately 4% of these children do not attend school, and about 27% of them are not regular school attendees. Along with Nuwara-Eliya we also introduced the Mobile school to the districts of Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, and Batticaloa during the past 18 months, and in total the program has reached 4150 children in 5 districts of Sri Lanka.

CAL has been partnered with "Mobile School" since 2019. Mobile School is an educational tool that provides non-formal education for children with limited resources or no access to education. This is a community-based initiative and since the launch of this program in Sri Lanka we have served over 4,000 children across the country though the initiative.
